Sunday morning , my mom made me go to "Hsing- Tien Temple" 行天宮 with her - ( for those people who can't read chinese , Tanya had especially done some research for it on the internet ) 
~ this is a very busy temple is devoted to Kuan Kung, a famous deified general who lived (AD 162-219) during the Three Kingdoms period. A man who valued loyalty and righteousness above all things, Kuan Kung is worshipped as the God of War; since he was adept at managing finances, he is also worshipped as he patron saint of businessmen.
This is a young temple, built in 1967, with a simple and dignified appearance. Many believers feel that this is a very efficacious temple, and it is frequently thronged with people praying for help and seeking divine guidance by consulting oracle blocks. (which is one of the reason why my mom goes there ) Even the pedestrian underpass outside the temple is filled with fortune tellers and vendors who take commercial advantage of the temple's popularity.
Anyway, we were there before 9 am , because a special religious service was being held there from 9 am to 10 am .... in fact , we waited there for nearly two hours watching people saying prayer ....and I still have no idea what is all this about ... I asked my mom , and she simply answered , " it's good for you "

早上因為一場特殊的祭祀在 9點至10點進行 一堆信眾聚集在那裡 我們在哪等了快兩小時 結果我到現在還是搞不清楚到底在幹麻 問了我媽 他只回我說 就是對你比較有幫助 後來tanya我就溜出去附近逛逛 買了一堆豆漿蛋餅回來
as I was standing there being bored .... I started looking around , and watching all those "believers" worshipping .... and I looked at them , they had their eyes closed and mumbling something ... they seemed to be so devout , showed such a deep devotion to " Kuan Kung " ... I was touched and I think , it doesn't matter if me and you or many other people believe in God or not ... or what those westerners think of them ( I know some people think these people in the temple are being superstitious ..... ) , but as long as they believe in what they believe is enough .
當我無聊的站再哪裡時 我四處看看 我注意到這些信徒們臉上認真的表情 雙眼闔上嘴理念念有詞 他們虔誠的表情令我感動 而且我想不管是我, 你或是許多其他人相不相信神明 或甚至一些外國人認為他們是迷信 這些對這群信眾們一點都不重要 重要的是他們相信就足夠了
I often think that there is only one God ... but only he has been given many different names in many different religions . People around the world try to communicate with him in many different ways , through a variety of religious services .... well, it's only my personal opinion ....
我常想世界上只有一個神 只是他有著各種不同的名字在不同宗教裡
而世界各地的人透過不同的方式 宗教儀式來與他溝通 當然這只是我的個人意見
on the way to the temple , I once again , looked up and saw beautiful blue sky and white clouds .... just wish that I had had my camera with me at that time ....... beautiful weather we got in Taipei today ... Can't wait for my trip in July .
